Our Story
Where we come from.
We started Econo Roofing in 1996 with a simple belief. A roofing contractor should show up when they say they will, do the work right, and stand behind it. That sounds obvious. It shouldn’t be hard. But in an industry known for shortcuts, doing the basics steadily sets you apart.
Over three decades, we've grown from a local repair company into one of the most credentialed roofing contractors in the Central Valley, see our certifications page for the full list of credentials: serving homeowners, property managers, HOAs, commercial building owners, schools, churches, and businesses across Stanislaus, Merced, San Joaquin, Tuolumne, Alameda, Calaveras, and Contra Costa Counties.
Two years ago, Nushake Roofing joined the Econo Roofing family. Three months ago, DeHart Roofing did the same. Both companies still operate under their own brands. They’re backed by Econo’s resources, maker relationships, and 30 years of roofing know-how.

Our History
Three decades of roofing done right.
Founded in Delhi, CA
Mario Espindola starts Econo Roofing with a crew of three, a single truck, a commitment to honest work at fair prices.
First manufacturer certifications
Earned our first certifications from Owens Corning and GAF, establishing Econo Roofing as a credentialed contractor in the Central Valley.
Expanded to commercial roofing
Added TPO, PVC, EPDM, and metal roofing systems for businesses, warehouses, churches, and schools across the region.
OC Platinum Preferred status
Achieved Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor status. The top 1% of roofing contractors nationwide. Still the only one in Stanislaus and Merced County.
Expanded to seven counties
Grew our service area to cover Stanislaus, Merced, San Joaquin, Tuolumne, Alameda, Calaveras, and Contra Costa Counties, 52 cities and counting.
Nushake Roofing Joins the Family
Econo Roofing became the parent company of Nushake Roofing, expanding our family of companies across the Central Valley. Nushake continues to operate under its own name.
DeHart Roofing Joins the Family
DeHart Roofing became part of the Econo Roofing family of companies. Like Nushake, DeHart continues to serve its customers under its own brand.

Built by people who care.
Every crew member at Econo Roofing lives in the Central Valley. Many have been with us 10+ years. They live in the same cities where they work — Modesto, Turlock, Merced, Ceres, Patterson. When they install a roof, they may drive past it for years. That changes how careful they are.
We invest in ongoing maker training. Every crew member is certified on the latest install techniques from Owens Corning, GAF, and CertainTeed. Meet our team. Safety isn’t optional. It’s the first thing we cover at every job site. Our drug-free workplace policy applies to every crew member every day.
Our bilingual crews (English and Spanish) communicate clearly with every homeowner. No language barrier. No confusion. Just clear information about your roof and your options.

Econo Roofing isn't a franchise that dropped into the Central Valley. We were born here. Our founder grew up here. Our crews raise their families here. For over 30 years, we've sponsored local youth sports teams, supported community events, and employed families from Delhi, Turlock, Modesto,, the surrounding area.
When wildfire season, winter storms, or extreme heat hit our neighbors, we respond. That means emergency roof repair or help with storm damage claims. Not because it’s good marketing. Because these are our communities too. That’s the difference between a contractor and a neighbor.

Yes. Econo Roofing is the parent company of Nushake Roofing. Nushake continues to operate as its own brand and serves its customers independently. Being part of the Econo family gives Nushake access to our maker partnerships, including OC Platinum Preferred status and extended warranty programs.
Is DeHart Roofing part of Econo Roofing? +
Yes. DeHart Roofing is owned by Econo Roofing and joined our family of companies in 2026. DeHart continues to operate under its own brand and serve its existing customers. Together, our family of companies is the largest locally-owned roofing operation in the Central Valley.
