How It Works

Fast response when it matters most.

1

24/7 Emergency Call

Call us any time, day or night. Our emergency line connects you directly to a dispatcher who can mobilize a crew. We respond to active leaks, storm damage, and fallen trees across all seven counties we serve.

2

Emergency Tarping & Containment

Our first priority is stopping the water. We apply heavy-duty tarps, seal exposed openings, and contain interior damage. This buys time for a permanent repair without further loss.

3

Damage Assessment & Documentation

Once the immediate threat is handled, we document all damage with photos and written notes. This records is key for insurance claims and speeds up the adjuster process.

4

Permanent Repair or Replacement

We schedule the permanent fix as soon as conditions allow. Whether it is a targeted repair or full section replacement, we use maker-grade materials and provide a written warranty.

Emergency Services

What we handle after hours.

Our emergency crews carry the equipment and materials to handle the most common after-hours roof emergencies on site.

Storm Damage Response

High winds, hail, and fallen branches can tear shingles, puncture membranes, and expose your roof deck. We stabilize the damage and prevent secondary water intrusion.

Active Leak Containment

A roof leak during a rainstorm cannot wait until morning. We apply emergency tarps and interior containment to protect your home, furniture, and electrical systems.

Tree & Debris Removal

Fallen trees and large debris require safe removal before the roof can be assessed. Our crews handle removal and structural evaluation in one visit.

Insurance Coordination

We document everything your insurance company needs: date-stamped photos, written damage descriptions, and repair scope. We work directly with adjusters to keep your claim moving.

Frequently asked

About emergency roof repair.

How fast do you respond to an emergency leak?

For active leaks during business hours: same-day, usually within 2–4 hours. For after-hours and weekends: we answer the phone and dispatch a tarp crew within 4–8 hours. We have emergency tarping in stock at our Delhi facility year-round.

What does emergency roof tarping cost?

Emergency tarp installs usually run $350–$650 depending on roof size and access. The tarp is included free if you proceed with the permanent repair within 30 days — we credit the tarp fee toward the final flat-rate quote.

Will my insurance cover the emergency repair?

If the cause was a sudden event. wind, hail, fallen tree, storm. most California homeowner policies cover emergency tarping, the permanent repair, minus deductible. Slow wear-and-tear leaks usually aren't covered. We document the cause to support your claim.

Can you stop a leak during a storm?

We can install emergency tarping in light-to-moderate rain with proper safety gear. During heavy storms or high winds, OSHA prohibits roof access. we'll wait for safe conditions and prioritize your job for the next break in weather.

What's the difference between an emergency tarp and a permanent repair?

Tarping stops water entry today — it's a 7-to-30-day waterproof barrier, not a roof. Permanent repair locates the failure (cracked flashing, lifted shingle, broken pipe boot, etc.), removes damaged material, and restores the roof to maker specs.

Do you do emergency commercial roof repair?

Yes. We respond to leaks at warehouses, restaurants, retail spaces, and industrial buildings. Commercial response is the same: same-day during business hours, 4–8 hour after-hours dispatch.

A note from Mario

How we approach emergency roof repair.

When a roof is leaking at 2 AM, the next four hours decide whether you're filing a roof claim or a water-damage claim. We answer the phone.

When You Need It

When to call us for emergency roof repair.

Emergency roof repair is needed when active water is coming in. Or when storm damage has exposed your deck. Or when a tree limb has punctured the roof. Or when wind has lifted a section of shingles. We respond fast because every hour of exposure means more interior damage.

Materials & Methods

Emergency Roof Repair materials & systems we install.

Emergency repairs usually use temporary tarps (heavy-duty 6-12 mil polyethylene) secured with battens and roofing nails, followed by permanent material install when weather permits. We carry a stocked emergency truck with shingles in common colors, pipe boots, valley flashing, ridge caps, sealants, and underlayment to address most emergency scenarios in a single visit. Temporary patches are usually replaced with permanent solutions within 7-14 days.

Process & Timeline

What to expect — our emergency roof repair process.

Call our emergency line at (209) 668-6222. We dispatch within 1-2 hours during business hours. Same-day on weekends and holidays for active leaks. First response stops the leak — tarping or sealing as needed. Then we schedule a permanent fix once weather allows.

Cost Factors

Emergency Roof Repair cost in California.

Emergency response itself is free — we don't charge a service-call fee. Temporary tarp install usually runs $200-$500 depending on roof size and access. Permanent emergency repair costs vary by scope but usually run $500-$3,500 for typical emergency-scope work (single damaged area). Larger storm-damage situations involving many areas or big deck damage can range higher and usually involve insurance claims.

What sets us apart

Why homeowners choose us for emergency roof repair.

The biggest difference between us and most other emergency roof repair contractors comes down to certification. Most local roofers can install the materials. Few can register the warranties that protect those installations for 25-50 years. As OC Platinum Preferred contractors — the top 1% of Owens Corning installers nationwide — we register Platinum Protection warranties that cover both materials and workmanship for life, non-prorated. As GAF Master Elite contractors — the top 2% of GAF installers — we register Golden Pledge warranties that cover 50 years of materials plus 25 years of workmanship. As CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster contractors, we register 5-Star Protection warranties that include 25 years of SureStart manufacturer-backed workmanship coverage. None of these are available through uncertified contractors.

The certifications are earned through years of training, install audits, and customer satisfaction tracking. Each manufacturer maintains the certification only if our install quality and review scores stay above their thresholds. We’ve held OC Platinum Preferred since 2008, GAF Master Elite for over a decade, and CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster certification continuously. The audits matter because they keep us honest. We can’t cut corners on material grade, install method, or finish quality — the manufacturers track every job we register.

The crew matters as much as the certifications. Our emergency roof repair crews are W-2 employees of Econo Roofing, not subcontractors. Each crew member completes annual factory training from GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed. We invest in training because the difference between a 25-year roof and a 35-year roof comes down to install detail. Proper underlayment lap. Correct nail placement and depth. Sealed flashing. Adequate attic ventilation. None of these require special tools — just trained, supervised installers who care about the work. Mario Espindola personally reviews every project scope before work begins and walks the finished roof before the crew leaves.

We also stand by our work financially. We carry $1 million general liability insurance and full workers comp coverage. We’re bonded ($25,000 CSLB contractor bond). License #749551, verifiable at CSLB.ca.gov. We’re family-owned and operated since 1996 — same family, same standards, three regional brands (Econo Roofing in Delhi, Nushake Roofing in Ripon, DeHart Roofing in Turlock). We’re not going anywhere. If something goes wrong with your emergency roof repair project — even years later — we’re here to make it right. That permanence matters when you’re investing in 30-50 years of weatherproofing.

Pricing is flat-rate. We quote the project, you approve the project, and that’s the price. No change orders mid-project unless you change the scope. No surprise charges. No upselling once the crew is on the roof. Free written estimates with no obligation, available across all 52 cities we serve. (209) 668-6222 connects you with the same team that has been doing this work for 30+ years.
